Almost everyone knows who Sherlock Holmes is, especially those people who are in love with detective stories and puzzle. Sherlock Holmes is a legendary icon in detective and mystery world, known for his high intelligence and vast knowledge.

Holmes fans have only been familiar with the character through stories in the novel or some of the movies portraying the unique persona. Now they can enjoy the adventure of the detective along with his close friend and partner, Dr. Watson, in present time situation through TV movie series, “Sherlock Holmes.” Unlike the other movies presenting Holmes in classic era, this 2011 Sherlock Holmes series portray the character in current era, although some classical aspects like London setting, the Baker Street address, and Holmes’ eternal enemy – Professor Moriarty – are still kept. Holmes analyzing abilities are still kept and maintained, through series of explanations assessed by the main character.

Since released, the movie series has gained positive critics and lots of detective or mystery fans state that they love the stories and the plots. The series has produced about three episodes so far, making fans a bit disappointed because they expect more episodes to come. The change in era and stories don’t bother them; in fact, they like being able to see what Holmes looks like in present time.

Robert John Downey Jr is born on April 4, 1965. Robert John Downey Jr is an American actor, film producer, and musician.

During the 1980s, he had roles in a series of coming of age films associated with the Brat Pack. He is an actor at Less Than Zero (1987), Air America (1990) and Soapdish (1991). These higher-profile roles eventually led to his being cast as Charlie Chaplin in the 1992 film Chaplin, for which he gained an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

In 2007, Downey was cast as the title character in the comic book adaptation Iron Man which premiered in the spring of 2008. At December, 25 2009, He will next play the titular lead character in Guy Ritchie’s adaptation of Sherlock Holmes .
