Shoes Information
The earliest known shoes date from about 8000 to 7000 BCE and were found in Oregon, USA in 1938. A shoe is an item of footwear evolved at first to protect the human foot. The foot contains more bones than any other single part of the body, and has evolved over hundreds of thousands of years in relation to vastly varied terrain and climatic conditions.
Shoes have traditionally been made from wood, leather or canvas, but are increasingly made from plastics and rubber.
